We are excited to announce the new Hunter
36 for 2008. The Hunter 36 retains many characteristics
that made it one of the most successful yachts every
produced by Hunter, with comfort to the forefront.
Our chief of Engineering, Glenn Henderson has tweaked
the new 36 in the forward sections, adding 6”
to the overall waterline length and making the bow
profile more plumb. The additional waterline length
enhances the “bow hollow” featured prominently
on our other models. The bow hollow helps the boat
cut through choppy waves better, reducing pitching
to preserve momentum. The new bow makes the boat appear
to float higher and gives the entire hull a racier
look.
The new 36 is constructed using the new “Grid
/ Pan” modular construction style. This doubles
the surface area of bonding between the grid and the
hull
which stiffens the entire boat. The result is noticeably
better performance, especially in rough conditions
and greater long term durability.
The new deck design retains the same proportions and
layout as the previous 36 with fresh styling to keep
it looking new. Larger oval shaped ports provide a
lower cabin house profile, adding a more contemporary
look. Changes include new furniture construction with
solid framed cabinet doors, new larger opening portholes
and hull ports, a cherry laminate interior and a new
deck style – quite similar to the Hunter 49.
Maintenance free Flexiteak is standard on the cockpit
seats and stern rail seats.
Whether you’re on board for a
week or a year, the interior of the Hunter 36 not
only looks good, but is incredibly user-friendly.
It has two private, large staterooms along with an
enormous head with shower, the salon can seat eight
plus there is a gourmet galley that will keep all
the crew happy.
The new Hunter 36 is even offered as
a tri-cabin. The new “Cherry” laminate
lightens and enriches the interior tones of the boat,
creating a more spacious and
luxurious feeling inside. The ultra hard finish is
extremely durable and requires no
maintenance whatsoever for the life of the boat.
